As the title suggests, the learners ought to listen to the news and write it back. There are plenty of language exercises ,suitable for secondary school students (age 13 and above) and students of all English language levels.
You might want to watch this video to get some ideas about this website.
You can ask students to choose one video which suits their level and do the activity with a partner. Write the students final score on the blackboard. Usually, students would be tempted to be the high scorer and this would help to increase their concentration when doing the task.
OMG..I do like it.
1) Its free. There is no need for credit card.
2) Its fun, believe me. You can try one of the activities and tell me about it.
3) It can help to enhance students' vocabulary. Students can learn new words and different structure of the sentences if they do the activities.
I tried on one of the activities. Just wanna give you an overview though.
1) Some of the sources have not been validated. This is because, all the subscribers can upload their own audio clip on the website. Therefore, we can say that some of the audio clips are not up to the academic standard.
2)Then again, like my previous post, this website requires internet access and computer. Thus, if the students do not have one of these or both, they could not do the activity.
3) The idea of linking Facebook to this website could be good or bad. As we know, the majority of Facebook users are teenagers . Therefore, the students might be distracted and the learning process could be disrupted.
